National Council for Vocational Education and Training recognizes Vidya Bharati as Awarding Body (dual)

National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET ), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship(MSDE), Government of India has officially recognized Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan have as an Awarding Body(Dual). The agreement aimed at strengthening the vocational education and training landscape in the education sector, was signed in the presence of Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, MSDE and Chairperson , NCVET.

The NCVET acts as the national authority for vocational education and training, playing a crucial role in establishing standards, creating regulations, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of skill development programs across the nation. It is tasked with recognizing and overseeing awarding bodies and assessment agencies, ensuring they contribute to the creation of a highly skilled workforce that meets the evolving demands of the industry.

Vidya Bharati, the largest educational organization in India, operates with a mission to provide holistic, value-based education across the country. With over 12,000 schools under its network, Vidya Bharati has consistently been at the forefront of educational innovation, promoting academic excellence and skill development. The organization is committed to empowering students by integrating vocational training with traditional education, ensuring they acquire practical skills that are aligned with national and global industry standards. By offering a wide range of skill development programs, Vidya Bharati supports key national initiatives like Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to bridge the skill gap and contribute to the creation of a self-reliant and skilled workforce in India.

This partnership will enable Vidya Bharati to offer certified skill courses across multiple sectors, ensuring that students gain industry-relevant training and employment opportunities. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in bridging the gap between traditional education and vocational training, fostering a skilled and self-reliant workforce for the future.

The NCVET has already approved following five National Occupational Standards( NoS) submitted by Vidya Bharati :

1. Fundamentals of Vedic Maths ( Part1)

2. Fundamentals of Vedic Maths ( Part2)

3. Fundamentals of Vedic Maths ( Part3)

4. Introduction to Tally Operations and GST Calculations

5. Accounting Operations and GST Compliance

Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, MSDE & Chairperson, NCVET, emphasized the increasing importance of a skilled workforce to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in various sectors across India. “As India continues to progress towards becoming a global leader in various industries, it is essential to foster a highly skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and ensuring global competitiveness,” he said.

Shri Tiwari also underscored the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s commitment to skill development through strategic partnerships. He pointed out Vidya Bharati’s significant role in shaping the future of vocational education in India, with its extensive network of schools and its drive to integrate skill-based training into mainstream education. This collaboration aims to upskill students across diverse sectors, preparing them for both the national and international job markets. Vidya Bharati’s efforts align with national initiatives like Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, focused on creating a self-reliant and skilled workforce.

Sh. Avnish Bhatnagar, Mahamantri, Vidya Bharati, and Sh. Jain Pal Jain, National Treasurer, Vidya Bharati, represented the organization during the signing ceremony of the agreement. They expressed a strong commitment to making skill education more accessible through Vidya Bharati’s extensive network of schools across the country. The skill development programs will be closely aligned with industry demands, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience and relevant industry exposure to better prepare them for the job market.
