Vidya Bharati’s Govindachandra Mahant Ji Highlights Panchakosha-Based Education During Kerala Visit
The National Education Policy (NEP) aims at the holistic development of an individual.
In the Western concept, only the body and mind are recognized, whereas the Indian philosophy of education emphasizes the development of the body, life force (prana), mind, intellect, and soul.
Through this fivefold (Panchakosha) development, the complete growth or true formation of the individual takes place. In the words of Swami Vivekananda, "Education is man-making." The Panchapadi Educational Model serves as the pathway to achieve this goal — leading an individual from the self to the Supreme (Paramesthi).
Implementing this vision (NEP Implementation) is the prime responsibility of every worker of Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan, said Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Organizational Secretary, Hon. Govindachandra Mahant ji.
During his three-day visit to Kerala, he addressed the State Executive Meeting held at the Vidya Nikethan Regional Office in Thiruvananthapuram on October 23.
He also visited Oorooruttambalam Vidyalaya, Parassala Vidyalaya, Sivagiri Mutt in Varkala, and the Padmanabhaswamy Temple.
