NEP game changer for start ups: Governor

Kurukshetra | In the ‘Shiksha Kumbh’ organized under the joint aegis of Vidya Bharati Haryana and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that the National Education Policy-2020 is a historic reform in the Bharatiya education system. It envisions a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education focusing on the holistic development of students. The National Education Policy encourages skill development, entrepreneurship and innovation from an early age. The new NEP is a game changer for start-ups. The Central Government has decided to implement the NEP by 2030. But the Haryana government has resolved to implement it in the Kshetra by 2025. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said there were around 800 start ups as of 2014, But now under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 1 lakh 16 thousand start ups have been formed. The important objective of Shiksha Kumbh is to create a conducive environment for effectively implementing the NEP’20.

Impart Skills in addition to Formal Education: Vice Chancellor

Shri Raj Nehru Vice Chancellor Vishwakarma Skill University said that students should relate to industries and try to teach skills along with studies. Dr. B.V. Ramanna Reddy, Director, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Emphasized institutional research and start up culture in empowering Bharat. Dr. Deshraj Sharma, Minister Vidya Bharati Uttar Kshetra said that the basic idea of education is collective thinking. From this point of view its name became Shiksha Mahakumbh. Education should be tailored to the country and nation. Two crore people, including students studying in Vidya Bharati schools, teachers, people engaged in management, think about education. This education has been started by Mahakumbh Vidya Bharati. Be it Institutes of Technology, Management Institutes, School Education, Health Education Institutes, if they cannot sit together and think, then education cannot be run according to the culture, nature, and progress of this country.

Swami Bhiti Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Chandigarh said that Kurukshetra is a religious city. Here Lord Shri Krishna preached Geeta. 150 students of the Prant also participated in this Shiksha Kumbh of Kurukshetra.
