Techathon 2025 Begins at IIT Delhi with Grand Inauguration

Techathon 2025, being held from 18–21 November 2025 at IIT Delhi, is jointly organized by Vidya Bharti Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan—a flagship programme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with AICTE and NITI Aayog.

The four-day national event began with the inauguration of the Innovation Exhibition at the Students’ Activity Centre (SAC), followed by the formal inaugural session at Dogra Hall, IIT Delhi.

Techathon provides a national platform for ATL students to showcase creativity, pursue research-driven ideas, and work towards future-ready innovations.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Prof. T. G. Sitharam (Chairman, AICTE), Sh. Virendra Kumar Vijay (UBA), Sh. Suman Pandit (NITI Aayog), Dr. Ramakrishna Rao( Vice President, Vidya Bharti), Sh. Deshraj Sharma ( Gen. Sec., Vidya Bharti) and Dr. Ravindra Kanhere ( President,Vidya bharti), Sh. Govind Chandra Mahant ji ( Sangthan Mantri , Vidya Bharti) Sh. R. P. Khaitan ji( Vice President, Vidya bharti), Nitin Chaube, Ms. Mita(UBA), Ms. Arunima Thapa ( AIM) and Ms. Geeta Arora —also marked their presence.

A total of 100 students from states across India are participating, presenting projects on Health & AI, Waste Management, 3D Modelling, AI in Education , and more. Students also visited advanced IIT Delhi labs such as the Makerspace Lab, Ballistics Lab, Physics Lab, Biogas Lab, and Robotics Lab, gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research.

Techathon 2025 continues with high enthusiasm, reflecting Vidya Bharti’s commitment to fostering scientific temperament, innovation, and youth-led national development.
